#FactorieSAxJessicaMahlekisi
I recently teamed up with Factorie SA to showcase how I’m wearing the popular flight jacket AKA bomber with some of my favorite trends this season..
Trend 1: Androgyny aka ”borrowing from the boys”
You’ll find me wearing something baggy every second day and that is why this puffed up bomber works so well for me – paired with an over sized pink sweater, wide legged trousers and heels.
To create a look that is comfortable and not too masculine.
Trend 2: Pleats
I consider the pleated midi skirt a basic because I can dress it up or down dependent on if I pair the skirt with my fave pair of heels or sneaks,
this patterned bomber jacket from factorie adds a pop of color to this otherwise monochromatic look.
Anything described as both practical and edgy gets a nod from me.
This warm bomber jacket is the perfect finishing touch for days when I’m feeling a little too sassy. 😉
A brief fashion history lesson: how the bomber jacket has evolved
The flight jacket as it was formerly known was initially created for military pilots back in 1917, since then the flight jacket has adopted a new name and style using different fabrics and silhouettes making it suitable for every season of the year and a wardrobe staple for people from all walks of life…
